Pre-Dry Wall Meeting

Just a quick update: I went to our Pre-Dry Wall meeting today, at noon, and I went through the house with the Field Manager, we just went through all the electrical wiring, the AC ducts, the gas and water plumbing, the internet conexions, the locations of the smoke detectors, the conection for the garage door opener and a bunch of other things.

I forgot my camera, so I only got a crappy picture from my cell phone... But the best thing was that: we got our closing date!!! We're closing on March 16 if everything goes well. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Nada más un avance rápido: Hoy a medio día fui a la junta de Pre-Instalación de la Tabla-Roca o el yeso (tabla roca me suena a super maistro :-D) con el Gerente de Campo, y revisamos juntos toda la instalación eléctrica, los ductos del aire acondicionado, las tuberías del agua y el gas, la ubicación de las alarmas contra incendios, las conexione para internet y la puerta del garage, entre otras cosas.

Se me olvidó la cámara, así que nada más tomé una foto medio gacha con el celular... Pero lo mejor fue que ya nos dieron oficialmente la fecha en que nos entregan la casa!!! Si todo sale bien, firmaríamos el 16 de marzo. Hagan changuitos!!!

Lot Layout

Here it is!!! This is our lot layout!!! I think this was the best part of yesterday's meeting, just seeing how our actual house is going to be set in the lot. They had also had the lot marked with teh "corners" of the house, but we didn't have our camera with us. Oh well... We'll most likely go over this weekend to check out the progress.

The meeting with the Field Manager was going ok... until John and him discovered they're BOTH from Nebraska and BIG Huskers fans!!! Then it got even better... Although, I'm not sure if I want John to be really good friends with him, since he said he can make a "N" right on our entry!!! LOL

They start digging today!!! We're VERY excited!!!

Aquí está!!! Esta es la configuración de nuestro lote!!! Creo que fue lo mejor de la reunión de ayer, ver como va a estar nuestra casa ubicada exactamente. También tenían marcadas las "esquinas" de la casa, pero no llevamos la cámara. Ni modo... Lo más probable es que vayamos este fin de semana para ver el progreso.

La reunión con el Gerente de Campo iba bien... hasta que John y él descubrieron que los dos son de Nebraska, y SUPER fans de los Huskers!!! Entonces nos fue mejor... Aunque no estoy muy segura si me conviene que John se haga super amigo de este wey, porque hasta nos ofreció poner una "N" en la rampa al garage!!! Jajaja

Hoy empiezan a excavar!!! Estamos muy emocionados!!!

Quick update

Hello!!! I know that I haven't updated any info in a while, but there hasn't been anything to update, really... until now!!!

We have our meeting with the Field Manager on Monday at 1:00 PM and they will start digging on Tuesday!!!

I'll make sure to take lots of pictures during the process and keep you all in the loop!!!

Hola!!! Ya sé que no había posteado noticias en un rato, pero la verdad es que no había nada nuevos... hasta ahora!!!

Vamos a reunirnos con el gerente de campo de la constructora el Lunes a la 1:00 PM y van a empezar a excavar el Martes!!!

Me voy a asegurar de tomar muchas fotos en el proceso y manterlos al tanto!!!
