Weekly Update

And we went back this weekend, to check out the inside... Unfortunatelly the new pictures might not be very interesting to see, since we mostly have new electric wiring now, but they also made the staircase to the basement and poured the cement in there!

Y regresamos este fin de semana a ver como van adentro... Desafortunadamente puede que las nuevas fotos no sean tan interesantes porque la mayoria del trabajo fue en el cableado electrico, pero tambien pusieron la escalera hacia el sotano y echaron el cemento ahi!

The staircase to the basement (and some of the plumbing, that part will be covered with drywall, but we'll have access to it).

La escalera al sotano ( y un poco de la plomeria, esa parte va a estar cubierta por una pared, pero vamos a tener acceso a ella).

Christmas Eve

We went to our house on Xmas Eve... I told John most people DO work all the way up to Xmas, but there wasn't much else to do... so we went any way :-)

And of course they were working in it, so we just drove around and looked at the house from the outside and went to the next street down to see it from the back... Here are the pictures:

Fuimos a la casa el dia de Noche Buena... Le dije a John que la mayoria de la gente SI trabaja todos los dias menos el dia de Navidad, pero como tampoco teniamos muchas cosas que hacer... fuimos de todas maneras :-)

Y claro que estaban trabajando adentro, asi que nada mas manejamos alrededor y miramos la casa por fuera, y le dimos la vuelta a la calle para verla desde atras... Y aqui estan las fotos:

Weekend Updates

As you'll see on the 3rd picture down, there's not a lot of changes on the outside of the house this week, but they finished the deck (at least the part where you stand on), they started putting the fireplace in (it's going to be gas), they're still working on the plumbing, and they started preparing the garage and the basement to pour the cement (it seems like).

We also took a couple of pictures of our house from the side street, I guess that once the house next to ours is built you won't be able to see all of ours that much, but here's how it looks today :-)

Como veran en la tercer foto, no hay muchos cambios en el exterior de la casa esta semana, pero terminaron la terraza (por lo menos la parte donde te paras), y empezaron a poner la chimenea (va a ser de gas), siguen trabajando en la plomeria, y ya empezaron a preparar el garage y el sotano para vaciar el cemento (parece).

Tambien tomamos algunas fotos de la casa desde una calle aledana, me imagino que una vez que construyan la casa de a un lado nuestra casa no se va a ver tanto, pero asi es como se ve el dia de hoy :-)

Si alcanzan a notar la reja de madera atras de nuestra casa, ahi es donde termina nuestro lote, no esta mal, verdad?

Foundation is started!!!

Today John and I went to check out how's the construction going. This was the first time we saw anything on our lot (besides the marking "flags")!!!

El dia de hoy John y yo fuimos a ver como va la construccion. Esta fue la primera vez que miramos algo en nuestro lote (a parte de las banderitas marcando el espacio)!!!

Aqui estan algunas de las fotos que tomamos!!!

This is the front of the house (above), our garage will be on the left side, and you can kind of see where the porch is going to be, the living room is on the right end a little bit "behind" the garage.

Este es el frente de nuestra casa (arriba), el garage va a estar en el lado izquierdo, y mas o menos se puede ver donde va a estar el porche, la sala esta al lado derecho un poco "atras" del nivel del garage.

Back side... This is the level where our walk out basement will be!!!

La parte de atras... Esta es donde nuestro sotano con salida va a estar!!!
